One of the most impressive school playgrounds in Bellingham β Parkview Elementary's playground is a brand new, extensively equipped space that feels more like a premium adventure park than a typical school yard. There's a massive multi-level climbing structure, a rope pyramid, a spectacular wide racing slide, a spiral tube slide, overhead monkey bar traverse, accessible ramp up to the main structure, outdoor musical instruments (xylophone, wind chimes, interactive game panels), balance and stepping equipment, a rock climbing wall, and spring riders. The rubber safety surface throughout makes it very soft underfoot. It's a school playground so access is limited β open after school hours weekdays (around 4pm onward), all day weekends, holidays and summer.
